Low Barrier Substance Use Treatment

Low Barrier Substance Use Treatment options for individuals facing challenges with substance use disorders (SUD) understand that each person’s situation is unique. Our partners offer a variety of treatment options that are both accessible and supportive. There are many treatment options, and the most effective approach depends on the individual’s specific needs and circumstances. Treatment options include but are not limited to the following:

    • Detoxification (detox) – The process of allowing the body to rid itself of drugs or alcohol.
    • Inpatient Rehabilitation – Residential treatment programs provide a highly structured environment with 24-hour care, offering intensive therapy and support.
    • Outpatient Rehabilitation – Outpatient programs allow individuals to attend therapy sessions and treatment while living at home. It’s a more flexible option for those with strong support systems.
    • Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) – This involves the use of medications, such as methadone, buprenorphine, or naltrexone, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies to treat substance use disorders.
    • Counseling and Behavioral Therapies – Various therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational enhancement therapy (MET), and contingency management, can be used to address the psychological aspects of addiction.
    • Support Groups – Programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) provide peer support and a structured environment for individuals in recovery.

It’s important to note that treatment plans are personalized to meet your specific needs. Sometimes a combination of these approaches may be used. Successful treatment often involves a multidisciplinary approach that addresses physical, psychological, and social aspects of one’s life.
