Harm Reduction Services
Harm reduction services for substance use disorders (SUD) and opioid use disorders (OUD) extend well beyond the traditional approaches to treatment and recovery. We recognize the complexities associated with substance use and aim to provide compassionate and evidence-based care to all. Harm reduction works to reduce the effects of negative impacts that drug and alcohol use can cause, while still respecting the individual’s autonomy and dignity. Harm reduction services include but are not limited to the following:
-
- Needle and syringe programs
- Naloxone distribution and training
- Education and outreach programs
- Safe inhalation spaces
- Fentanyl test strips distribution
- Access to clean supplies
- Wound care and hygiene support
- Counseling and support services
By embracing harm reduction, we acknowledge that the path to recovery is unique for everyone. Check out our partner organizations below who provide harm reduction services in Benton, Lincoln and Linn counties.
