Who We Are
Welcome to the Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder Regional Coalition. In December of 2018, the Linn County Mental Health/Substance Abuse Advisory Committee was formed. As a result of receiving two federal grants that supported opioid use disorder programming in East Linn County, partners began meeting together every other month. They discussed efforts surrounding treatment and prevention while similar conversations were happening with partners in Benton and Lincoln Counties. The Mental Health/Substance Abuse Advisory Committee for Lincoln County began meeting on a monthly basis due to being awarded a HRSA Planning Grant in 2018.
Eventually, in October of 2021, the Regional Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder Coalition was formed. Attendees joined from the previous two committees and new partners joined from across the tri-county region. While the coalition today continues to provide the oversight and approval of various federal grant programs, they also convene to discuss upcoming events, overdose data, law enforcement engagement, workforce trainings (i.e., peer support specialist & certified alcohol and drug counselor), data coordination and sharing, harm reduction, Measure 110 and much more.

Coming Together
